Plan the journey as well as the event
Families may prefer the daytime activities, while concertgoers can plan an evening visit and their journey back separately. You do not need to spend the entire day on the waterfront: choose the part of the programme that interests you.
If driving, check current traffic restrictions and permitted parking before setting out. Do not rely on finding a space next to the stage; allow time to walk from your parking location. Avoid scheduling a late rental-car return immediately after a concert, and leave a buffer for exiting the venue and travelling back.
