St Petersburg Rains Music Festival: How to Plan Your Visit

It offers an evening concert option for an autumn trip, but plan around the individual venue: events take place in different halls with different admission arrangements.
The Culture of St Petersburg portal published the current announcement on Oct 1, 2026. The programme includes symphonic, chamber and choral music, film scores, electronic works and opera.
Selected programme highlights
Oct 8, 2026 — the opening concert, A Wreath of Petersburg Waltzes, at Jaani Kirik.
Oct 10, 2026 — the chamber programme Echo of the Twentieth Century in the Composers’ House Oak Hall.
Oct 14, 2026 — film scores and electronic music in The Soundtrack of Petersburg Rains, in the same hall.
Concerts in the Oak Hall are listed as free with registration. This does not mean the entire festival is freely accessible: check admission for other events separately.

Travel checks before you go
Choose a concert and confirm your ticket or registration before planning the journey to the venue’s exact address. Do not rely solely on the festival name in your navigation app. Recheck the starting time and organiser updates before setting off.
If driving, identify permitted parking in advance and allow time to walk to the venue. Avoid scheduling the concert journey immediately after your flight arrival or rental car collection.
